About the Vancouver Comedy Festival

"The Vancouver International Comedy Festival Society is a non-profit society dedicated to the development of local comedic arts. The society strives to bring awareness, support and funds to BC comedic performers and provides emerging local comics with the audiences needed to develop their skills. The not-for-profit society is entering its 20th year and within the last three has been developing a clearer mandate and activities to become a stronger community voice for comedic arts and local talent."

What We Did

Todd Silver Design was sub-contracted to design and produce the program for the 2007 Vancouver Comedy Festival. The 48-page program consisted of a schedule of events, write-ups for each of the performers as well as various maps, directions to venues and welcome notes.

Building upon the Festival's 1960's modern branding Todd Silver Design designed a playful esthetic using the era's common design elements.

The Results

The final result is a eye-catching, playful program that reflects the traveling theme throughout without losing each individual performer's distinctive style. The typography is crisp and easy to read, the graphics serve to reflect each performer's act and the schedule is both informative and easy to use.
